Ifeatu Oliobi
I am an applied microeconomist and research leader who studies topics in education, labor markets, and international development. I am currently a senior researcher at Ithaka S+R, leading research and evaluation related to postsecondary access, equity, and success in the United States.
Previously, I led mixed-methods research at the New York City Department of Education and Oxford Policy Management Limited. Before that, I supported public financial management reforms as an Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellow at the South Sudan Ministry of Finance; and analyzed financial markets data to inform monetary policy decisions at the Central Bank of Nigeria.
I hold a PhD in economics and education from Columbia University - Teachers College, where my research focused on access to education and labor market opportunities in low- and middle-income countries. I also hold a master’s degree in economics from the University of Warwick and a bachelor’s degree in economics from Covenant University.
